		<description>Glad to know that you're out and about and soaking up the sights and sounds of the exotic out there.  Looking forward to your internet-infused musings and such.  Don't be frustrated by the lacks, but energized by the deep collisions of the himalayan and asian tectonic plates.  What a ride!

Got my first text message a week ago from my sister-in-law at 8:01--it was a plain and joyous "yippee" as the presidential election was "called".

Also, unrelatedly, something from Arabic class I thought I should tell you: There is no equivalent of the 'p' sound in Arabic. The closest approximation is a 'b' (called "baa' "). Because of this, according to my teachers, stores often have huge signs proclaiming, "PIG SALE!"</description>
