Night Visiting Song

Before I misplace it, I’d like to include this video of one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite singers in one of my most favorite bands: The Night Visiting Song sung by the Dubliners’ Luke Kelly, who is standing next to another of my favorite singers, Ronnie Drew (the one with the beard), who is now dead, just as Luke is:

I don’t feel like writing now. I just wanted to preserve that video. But I’ll try to be chatty, since I haven’t written for so long.

I’m recently back from a wonderful visit with my mother, who took me for three — count them — three dinners at the Greenville Country Club. The first night, we dressed alike.


Spring had sprung in northern Delaware.



While I was there, Small’s (Ma’s) sweetie landed in the hospital, which was nerve-wracking for Ma. Here is her second-best friend:
