Since I have several weeks off of work, I have some time on my hands: a rare commodity. This morning, instead of spending time brushing up on Spanish for my trip or delving into my stack of applied linguistics books, I found myself making a farewell to Mama Ginna.
The still photos span over a decade. The audio is of a phone conversation I had with her shortly before her stroke three years ago. She is reading a poem (author unknown) that she loved, about losing one’s aged mind.
So sorry, Ginna, I know you loved her very much. Lovely tribute.
“A Little Mixed Up” by LeBart “Bart” Beck.
Awful sad, that poem, the way she reads it.
You’ve made an excellent memorial to/for her.
Oh I’m so glad you made this. It’s wonderful. Wow.
Thank you. What a wonderful tribute to my Grandmother. I miss her so much, each and every day. Thank you for being a wonderful friend to her.

Dear Cindy,
I don’t know if you’re going to come back here and see this message, but in case you do, I want you to know how much I appreciate your writing. You must miss Mama Ginna terribly. I’ll bet she was a wonderful grandmother.
Since you live in California, maybe we’ll get to meet someday. I’m in the SF Bay Area.
Thanks again SO much for writing.
All the best,
Ginna
