32 Years Ago Today

The excitement of Eleni’s birthday didn’t end with my previous post, so this is Part 2 of our adventures, during which we were joined by Lulu. She & I had gone shopping yesterday and made a sort of Jack Horner Pie for Eleni, filled with little practical things for her to eat, and to feed to dogs, and to cleanse babies’ butts with. Eleni yanked out her loot on individual strings.

Meanwhile, Jason played with tin foil and Emmy slept in my room.

I had one final picture to show you: of the chocolate cake that Molly bought Eleni. It was beautiful. I downloaded it to my computer but now it is gone. It said, Happy Birthday, Butthead!, and we sang a song to match. Those sisters love each other.

My mother holds the official title of matriarch of our family, but I am matriarch of my own broodlette. I delight in having them gathered around, and grieve to see them disperse. I hope my ma gets to come see the California branch of what she and Dad created. Maw: you must come see Emmy. How about next month?
