The Wormlips Scrapbook

I finally did it: joined a writers’ group! At the first meeting today I met the fifteen or so participants, all inspiring and fun women. If you happen to be one of those women, I have a suggestion for your visit here. For reasons I explained ad nauseum at the meeting, I haven’t done any real writing for ages. So instead of slogging through those bits and pieces reverse-chronologically, you can find thematic threads under Central America 2008 or Foster Dogs, or you could read about and hear some of my old public radio features. So now that I have the Wednesday Writers to help fuel my literary productivity, stand by for the story of my trip to South Asia, which I began writing two months ago and stopped writing two months ago.

Editor’s Note, late January: I did make it to the meeting, where I got the following comments from the critique lady:

“The bicycle one is too busy to my eye. But these might make good travel photos.”

Oh well.

Original Post, January 1:

I’ve finally worked up the nerve to attend a meeting of a local photo users’ group next week. By Sunday night I need to have picked out two images for critique. I’ve whittled the six thousand (no joke) I took in South Asia down to nine and now I’m stuck. Your vote on your favorite two would be more helpful than you could possibly realize. I need opinions by this Sunday night, January 4.
